Keemlaw Catering Complements launches an Online Charity Bake Off to celebrate the opening of the highly anticipated online Sugarcraft & Bakeware Store, which is live and ready for business today –  Winners of the Online Charity Bake Off can win £100 for their chosen charity, simply by submitting a picture of their cake masterpiece.

Derrick Law, Founder and Director of Keemlaw said: “More and more people are now enjoying baking at home and seem to be getting more talented.  Home baking has always been popular, but we are seeing more people instore of all ages, both male and female.  It’s not just baking a cake for a special occasion; I think people have discovered homemade cakes just taste significantly better.  It will be great to see what our customers and people of Kent are baking, it’s just a shame I don’t get to taste any of the cakes.  Good luck to all that enter and happy baking.”

The Keemlaw Online Charity Bake Off invites the home cook and anyone that dabbles in the kitchen to create, bake and decorate a cake masterpiece and lastly take a photo to win a monetary donation for their chosen charity.  Willing participants can enter their bakes into one of the Online Charity Bake Off categories: 

  1. Best Decorated Cake
  2. Most Creative Cupcake
  3. Under 12s – Anything Good Goes

Derrick, who will be joined by guest judge Sarah Allsebrook, local Patisserie Chef and owner of Frédéric Café Bistro, together will judge the entries, a winner for each category will be chosen.

Sarah said: “I’m delighted to support the Online Bake Off, it’s a great initiative to encourage more people into their kitchens.  I’m looking forward to seeing what the cooks of Kent can create.  Just a small tip, don’t rush baking, take your time and the result will be worth every minute, but most importantly have fun with it.”

The Keemlaw Online Sugarcraft & Bakeware Store currently offers sugarcraft ranges available instore, giving customer access to a wide range of items.  There will be new lines added, to be available soon bakeware, which will be quickly followed by partyware.

Entries to the Keemlaw Catering Complements Online Charity Bake Off will be accepted until Friday 12th June 2015.  Judging will take place after this deadline, with winners announced on Friday 19th June 2015.
